Too many candles on the birthday cake…

Alright, it’s official…I feel old! I know many of you are thinking, “I’ve got socks older than you, brat!”…hear me out! I just celebrated my 24th birthday and for some reason I am struggling with it a little bit. I can’t help but remember back when I use to think 21 would NEVER get there! Now I am just passing 24, weird. I know I have many things to be thankful for, at this age my sister had already been gone for over a year. I’m thankful for where I am in my life and all the amazing experiences I’ve had thus far. However, I still wonder…

Why are birthdays so scary? What is it about that one day out of the year that makes it so intimidating? It’s just another day…actually it’s better than just a regular day, on this specific day you get money and gifts JUST FOR BEING ALIVE! I mean seriously how horrible can that really be? I guess we just have to keep telling ourselves, it’s just another day, you are who you are regardless of your age. I challenge all of us on our next birthday to celebrate our accomplishments, remember what we’re grateful for and set goals for the year to come!

The New Apartment

So I recently moved into my new apartment. It is a great place, in a great location! Between personal travel and business travel I think it is finally starting to feel like home. Of course my mother had to come and help me get my life in order. Why is it that moms are so great at organizing and decorating houses to make them feel like home? Years of practice I guess! Let’s here is blogosphere what do you think of my house, rate my space! : )

Getting started…

So I have been wanting to start a blog since I attended my first BlogHer conference in San Francisco last year. That said, I just returned from BlogHer 2009 and I finally got the courage to start my own blog! I hope you enjoy!
